Conference proceedings
The Humanities Graduate Research Conference, which ran from 1997 – 2004 and again from 2008 – 2014, provided a stimulating and intellectually engaged environment for Higher Degree by Research students. Students presented their work in the format of papers as well as creative production.
The Humanities Graduate Research Conference was followed by the publication of a collection of selected peer reviewed and edited research papers. Once papers were submitted they were blind refereed by two referees drawn from within and/or outside the Faculty/University. The papers that were put forward for publication were then developed further by an editorial committee comprised of research student editors, academics, Graduate Studies staff, and the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies.
Since 2011 the proceedings have been published by Black Swan Press as chapters in an edited book. Previous to this the proceedings formed the on-line journal series titled: Provoking Texts: New postgraduate research from the edge which can be found on this webpage.
